Travels to memorial sites
We invest in educational travels in order to enable young people to relate Jewish life in Europe in the past, present and future.
And to relate to it ourselves. We consider this effective education and fight against anti-Semitism.
In April 2015 we visited the former ghetto and concentration camp Theresienstadt with a small group and met some Holocaust survivors in Prague whom we interviewed about their lives.
In October 2016 we visited the former concentration camp Auschwitz with a closed group of young people. Before, we had met Auschwitz-survivor Eva Szepesie and heard her story of survival in Germany.
In June 2017, we went to the former concentration in Buchenwald, as a German-Israeli team excursion (see picture above).
In January 2018, we were in Krakow together with Israeli friends and took part in the ceremony in Birkenau.
In May 2019, we joined Holocaust Survivors from Germany to travel to their old home in Transnistria (today: Ukraine, Moldova and Transnistria). Here is our bottom line in English.
